Grand Tourer par excellence
In the Autumn of 1952, the B22 sports sedan was added to the Aurelia line, following the sporting success of the B20 and B21 in the Turismo category. Built as a sports-tuned sedan to rival the Alfa Romeo 1900, the B22 boasted engineer Francesco De Virgilio’s V6 engine, the world’s first production V6. The two-litre 90 bhp engine with dual Weber carburettors and a hotter camshaft could achieve speeds over 160 km/h. Combining elegance, luxury and driving pleasure, the Aurelia is considered one of Lancia’s most outstanding models, alongside the Lambda and the Aprilia.
